Chris Culliver apparently didn’t learn from his Super Bowl experience when he got himself in the middle of a controversy by saying he didn’t want any gay teammates.
Now, the San Francisco 49ers cornerback has offended once again, referring to women as “bitches” and hoes” with his Instagram account. The San Francisco Chronicle has the full story and a screen shot of Culliver’s crude remarks that his 30,000 followers were able to see.
During Super Bowl week, Culliver was asked about possibly having a gay teammate and he said, “No, we don’t got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do. Can’t be with that sweet stuff. Nah. Can’t be in the locker room man. Nah.”
Culliver was not suspended but he did volunteer for an organization that provides support and crisis intervention for lesbian, gay and bisexual youth. Sensitivity training apparently only went so far for Culliver because at the time he pledged to learn from the experience.
