The Pro Football Hall of Fame voters opened the doors for six new members in the Class of 2012 on Saturday.
Included in this year's group is former Jets and Patriots running back Curtis Martin, former Minnesota Vikings defensive end Chris Doleman, former Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy, former Saints and Chiefs offensive tackle Willie Roaf, ex-Steelers center Dermontti Dawson and senior selection Jack Butler.
Martin ran for 14,101 yards and 90 touchdowns in his NFL career, including 10 straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons.
Doleman recorded 150.5 sacks in his career spent mostly in Minnesota, while Kennedy had 58 career sacks and made eight Pro Bowls.
Roaf, a left tackle, and Dawson, a center, were among the elite at their respective positions throughout their expansive NFL careers.
Butler, who played for the Steelers, had 52 career interceptions, which was second all-time at the time of his retirement in 1959.
