Brown was topic of debate between coaches and Al Davis Aaron Wilson
As firs reported earlier today by National Football Post, the Oakland Raiders have signed seventh-round rookie safety Stevie Brown to their practice squad.
Raiders owner Al Davis overruled the coaching staff and had them cut Brown on Saturday when they wanted former second-round pick Mike Mitchell to be cut, according to a league source. Naturally, Davis got his way.
Brown was the subject of a lot of interest today before agreeing to re-sign with Oakland.
The Raiders also signed the following players to the practice squad: defensive tackle Kellen Heard, linebacker Slade Norris, cornerback Joe Porter, wide receiver Shaun Bodiford, offensive lineman Alex Parsons, and fullback Manase Tonga.
