New York Jets rookie tight end Jace Amaro is making a slow adjustment to the NFL game after setting records at Texas Tech, according to ESPN.com.
What Amaro did at Texas Tech wasn't even close to what Amaro is doing now schematically with the Jets.
It's a much more complicated scheme.
Per the report, Amaro looked lost at times and ran sloppy routes.
Amaro was used more as a receiver at Texas Tech than as a traditional tight end
Amaro has said he wants to be the next Tony Gonzalez. It sounds like he has a long way to go to get there.
