Iowa cornerback on the rise Aaron Wilson
University of Iowa cornerback Amari Spievey visited the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts and the New York Giants, according to a source close to the program with knowledge of the situation.
At the NFL scouting combine, Spievey ran the 40-yard dash in the 4.47 to 4.51 range.
At his Pro Day workout, Spievey posted a 34 1/2/ inch vertical leap and a 10-foot broad jump.
Spievey was in demand in Indianapolis with 15 formal interviews, including the Oakland Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, Seattle Seahawks and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 6-foot, 190-pounder intercepted six career passes with 142 tackles at Iowa before leaving school after his junior season, but teams tended to avoid throwing to his side of the field.
Georgia Tech wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, a first-round draft prospect, didn't catch a pass against Spievey in the Orange Bowl.
