San Francisco 49ers veteran free agent offensive tackle Barry Sims is scheduled to visit the Washington Redskins on Friday, according to a league source.

Sims is also still talking with the 49ers about a potential return and has drawn interest from the Seatle Seahawks.

Sims, 35, started seven games last season for the 49ers and played in all 16 games.

Sims has started 134 career games, spending his entire career in the Bay Area.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pounder played for the Oakland Raiders for nine seasons before signing with San Francisco in 2008.

Best fit for him is a zone team, Shannahan wants him there. Carrol considers him also, if he has production to mirror last season at this stage of his carrer, you call that a value. Good luck, Barry. Once a Raider always a Raider, you give back to your team and community as well. A team adding your service adds extra, something beyond measurables.
