The Cincinnati Bengals signed wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher to a regular contract instead of just the low restricted free agent tender, according to a league source.

Sanzenbacher got a one-year, $1.2 million contract that includes a $950,000 base salary, a $200,000 signing bonus and a $50,000 workout bonus.

This shows more of a commitment to Sanzenbacher from the AFC North franchise, which declined to match a $13.6 million offer sheet from the Cleveland Browns for wide receiver Andrew Hawkins.

A former undrafted free agent from Ohio State, Sanzenbacher caught six passes for 61 yards last season.

He has a previous stint with the Chicago Bears.

He has 34 career catches for 344 yards and three touchdowns.
