Source: Bengals try out Michael Boley

Former New York Giants linebacker Michael Boley worked out for the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a league source.

Boley is a former Atlanta Falcons fifth-round draft pick from Southern Miss.

Boley, who was signed to a five-year, $25 million contract in 2009 by New York, was released from the Giants in February, following an arrest for child abuse, pleading guilty as part of a pretrial diversion program as part of plea agreement.

Boley has recorded 685 career tackles, 9 1/2 sacks and eight interceptions.

The Bengals also tried out linebackers Maalik Bomar and Etienne Sabino.
