The Cleveland Browns tried out three running backs on Monday, according to a league source.
The Browns auditioned veteran running back Kahlil Bell, who has played for the Chicago Bears and New York Jets, former Carolina Panthers running back Armond Smith and former Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Armando Allen.
Bell has rushed for 630 career yards and caught 22 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown.
Smith has a previous stint with the Browns.
A former Notre Dame player, Allen has 172 career rushing yards and one touchdown.
None were immediately signed to a contract.
