Source: Bruce Campbell visited the Giants

Veteran offensive lineman Bruce Campbell visited the New York Giants today, according to a league source.

Campbell previously visited the Washington Redskins and agreed to terms on a one-year contract, but there were concerns raised about his shoulder and that scuttled the deal.

Campbell played his college football in College Park, Md. at the University of Maryland.

Campbell is a former Oakland Raiders fourth-round draft pick. He has played in 19 career games with no starts.

Campbell was acquired by the Carolina Panthers in 2012 in a trade from the Raiders in exchange for running back Mike Goodson. Campbell was waived-injured last year by Carolina and played in no games last season.

Campbell is an athletic 6-foot-6, 320-pounder who had a notable NFL scouting combine after playing for the Terrapins where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.75 seconds and bench pressed 225 pounds 34 times.
