Now, it's official.
Alfonso Boone is a San Diego Charger.
The veteran free agent defensive lineman signed a one-year contract today with the Chargers, a league source told National Football Post.
Brad Biggs first reported for National Football Post that Boone was on his way to the Chargers.
Boone was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs after starting 19 games over the past few seasons.
Boone has a background with Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera and defensive line coach Don Johnson from his time with the Chicago Bears.
Boone was on the Oakland Raiders' radar earlier this month, but that interest fizzled out when they acquired Richard Seymour via a trade from the New England Patriots.
