Virginia cornerback making the rounds Aaron Wilson
University of Virginia cornerback Chris Cook is conducting a private workout for the Minnesota Vikings today, according to an NFL source with knowledge of the situation.
Over the past week, Cook has also had private workouts with the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins.
Cook was sick before his recent Pro Day workout and visited a doctor for flu-like symptoms 36 hours before his NFL audition, according to a league source.
Cook drew criticism from NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock for getting "winded" during his positional drills with SI.com's Tony Pauline writing that NFL coaches had to "coax Cook to pick up the tempo."
Per our source, Cook didn't make excuses for his lack of energy and breathing issue and didn't want to not work out because he wasn't 100 percent.
The 6-foot-2, 212-pounder had a strong Senior Bowl week and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds at the NFL scouting combine. He also posted a 38-inch vertical leap and an 11-foot broad jump.
