Kansas wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe is scheduled to meet with the Dallas Cowboys next week, according to a league source.
The 6’2”, 207-pounder caught 84 passes (23rd in NCAA) for 1,337 yards (ninth) and nine touchdowns for the Jayhawks in 2009. Over the past two seasons, Briscoe has amassed 176 catches for 2,744 yards and 24 touchdowns.
In addition to the Cowboys, the junior wide receiver has already worked out for the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Briscoe—who was named first-team All Big 12 in 2009—ran a 4.51 and 4.53 in the 40-yard-dash during Kansas’ pro day on March 10. Gil Brandt of NFL.com said he looked good during positional drills.
In addition to meeting with Briscoe next week, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had dinner with Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant on Wednesday night—a sign the ‘Boys may be serious about getting wideout Miles Austin some help.
