The Miami Dolphins have released seventh-round linebacker Austin Spitler, according to a league source.
Earlier this summer, Spitler received a four-year, $1.83 million contract that included a signing bonus in the neighborhood of $36,500.
The 6-foot-3, 234-pound was a four year letterman for the Buckeyes and finished his collegiate career with 82 tackles, two sacks and an interception.
