The Miami Dolphins have placed defensive lineman Lionel Dotson on waivers today, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
Dotson is expected to garner serious interest from other teams. He's expected to be in demand because of his age and position.
A former 2008 seventh-round draft pick, Dotson is practice squad eligible.
Dotson, 25, was a second-team All-Pac 10 selection at the University of Arizona as a senior.
As a senior, the 6-foot-4, 290-pounder recorded 50 tackles, 6 1/2 sacks and a forced fumble.
In the NFL, he has registered three tackles in four career games.
