Source: Elbert Mack tries out for Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals worked out veteran defensive back Elbert Mack, according to a league source.

Mack, 27, had eight tackles last season in eight games for the Houston Texans.

For his career, he has 111 tackles and six interceptions.

In 2012, he intercepted an Eli Manning pass and returned it 73 yards for a touchdown while playing fort the New Orleans Saints.

The former Troy cornerback has a previous stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

As a senior at Troy, he led the nation with eight interceptions and was named a first-team All-Sun Belt selection.
