The New York Jets worked out Adams State kicker David Van Voris today, according to a league source.
He participated in the NFL super regional combine at Ford Field.
He was the second-rated kicker at Michael Husted's camp last month.
He led the nation in kickoffs last season.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder got a five-star rating at the camp.
"David is a very strong kicker," Husted said. "Has a great pop on the ball and gets great height on his field goals. Strong on kickoffs and will only get better and consistent as he refines his steps and approach to the ball."
He made 18 of 23 field goals and had 41 of 61 touchbacks with a 64.2 kickoff average, a 40.5 punting average with a long of 67 yards.
He was first-team All-Colorado and first-team all-conference.
He finished the season with a team-high 82 points.
