Northwestern quarterback Mike Kafka has worked out for the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals, according to a source close to the program with knowledge of the situation.

Kakfa is a rising draft prospect who excelled in the East-West Shrine game, delivering the game winning touchdown pass in the final second as he passed for 150 yards and was named the Offensive Most Valuable Player.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder improved his 40-yard dash to 4.81 seconds at his Pro Day workout after running a 4.91 at the NFL scouting combine where he also registered a 32-inch vertical leap and a 9-2 broad jump.

He has turned in a 6.78 three-cone drill.

Kafka's displayed his mobility and ability to throw on the run at his Pro Day workout, which was attended by Bengals quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese and Carolina Panthers quarterbacks coach Chris Miller. He reportedly missed just one throw at the workout.

Last season, Kafka passed for a career-high 3,430 yards, 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He completed 64.8 percent of his passes.

For his career, he passed for 4,265 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Gamers don't always have huge stats, the kid can make things happen. Bad weather game experience is nice, also.

If you want to run a WC offense this guy will remind you of Rich Gannon. He reads fast, goes through the check down and is very accurate. He's a sleeper.

Why does the media even waste our time with this "according to a source with knowledge of the situation" crap?? Why can't you guys ever get anything strait from the horses mouth?? You report on second and third hand information, that nine times out of ten turns out to be a bunch of hot air anyway!!!! So why don't you wait until you have something confirmed to be true, instead of giving us all this he said she said garbage?? All of this false rumor mongering is getting really really OLD!!!!!
