Veteran free agent wide receiver Laurent Robinson worked out for the New York Jets today, according to a league source.
Next stop: New England Patriots.
Robinson is traveling to New England tonight to audition for the receiver-needy AFC East franchise.
He has a subsequent workout scheduled with the Detroit Lions. And, per the source, the San Francisco 49ers are another workout option for Robinson.
Teams are gauging the health of Robinson, who started just four games for the Jacksonville Jaguars due to a series of concussions.
He caught 54 passes two seasons ago for the Dallas Cowboys.
Robinson is a solid receiver and he's out to prove that he's durable enough to take the hits to get back in the game.
Now, it all hinges on whether an NFL team and its medical staff is comfortable enough to sign off on Robinson.
