The Detroit Lions have claimed guard Trevor Canfield off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks, according to an NFL source.
Canfield was released by the Seattle Seahawks on Friday. He didn’t figure to be a fit for their line scheme after the minicamp last week. The Lions now have their second ex-Seahawk on the line after they traded for guard Rob Sims.
Canfield was originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the seventh round last year. He was signed off their practice squad by the Seahawks during the season.
The Chicago Bears also put in a claim for Canfield.
