The Detroit Lions worked out former New York Giants defensive tackle Marvin Austin, according to a league source.
Austin was drafted in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft out of North Carolina.
He was released by the Giants during the final major roster cutdown.
Austin had eight tackles last season in eight games.
He was sidelined for his rookie season with a torn pectoral muscle.
