Safety to work out for Dolphins, has visited Buccaneers Aaron Wilson
University of Florida junior free safety Major Wright has upcoming visits scheduled with the Tennessee Titans and the New York Jets, according to an NFL source with knowledge of the situation.
Wright visited the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this week.
And he has an upcoming private workout for the Miami Dolphins.
Wright ran the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds at the NFL scouting combine. He bench pressed 225 pounds 14 times and registered a 37 1/2 inch vertical leap with a 9-11 broad jump.
For his three-year career with the Gators before declaring early for the NFL draft, Wright has registered 165 tackles, eight interceptions, 10 pass deflections, four forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
Last season, the 5-foot-11, 206-pounder intercepted three passes.
Known as a big hitter, Wright has been projected as a potential third-round draft pick by draft analysts.
