Edward Morton-Green drawing some interest as draft day approaches. Joe Fortenbaugh
Morgan State wide receiver Edward (E.J.) Morton-Green is scheduled to work out for the Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens next week, according to a league source.
The 6’4”, 215-pounder ran a 4.47 40-yard-dash at his pro day on March 16. Morton-Green caught 24 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns for the 6-5 Bears in 2009.
The Bengals and Ravens have been rumored to be in the wide receiver market for quite some time, but the Eagles may come as somewhat of a surprise as they currently have youngsters DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Jason Avant on the roster.
In addition to Morton-Green, Philly has already met with Kansas wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe (6’2”, 207) and UConn wideout Marcus Easley (6’3”, 210), to name a few.
All three wideouts are over 6’2”, meaning the Birds may be looking to add some size to the position this offseason.
