Patriots take a look at former Steelers draft pick Aaron Wilson
Former Pittsburgh Steelers third-round draft pick Bruce Davis worked out for the New England Patriots on Tuesday, according to a league source.
Davis was cut by the Steelers during their final major roster cutdown.
He was drafted by Pittsburgh in the third round of the 2008 NFL draft out of UCLA, but never materialized as a contributor with the Steelers.
Cut on Sept. 4, Davis played in five games as a rookie last season on special teams.
He recorded 29 sacks on the college level, but has produced no defensive statistics in the NFL.
Per our source, the Steelers also worked out former San Francisco 49ers fourth-round linebacker Jay Moore as well as defensive backs Stoney Woodson, Terrail Lambert and Travonti Johnson.
