The Chicago Bears have scheduled a visit with Rutgers linebacker Damaso Munoz, according to a league source.

It's expected to be March 8.

The New York Jets are also intereted in Munoz and are likely to have him in for a visit on March 9.

Per our source, Munoz had a strong Pro Day workout today.

He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds.

The 6-foot, 221-pounder also bench pressed 225 pounds 25 times.

Munoz intercepted a pass in the Scarlet Knights' bowl game win over Central Florida.

With his measurables, it sounds like he could be a fit as a weakside linebacker or at strong safety.

Nice times, good to note his potential at two positions. Munoz sounds like a cover two athlete.

We don't need him at backer but we need a hitting safety. This is actually where Angelo excels - getting good value for DBs in the late rounds. If Rex Ryan likes him too that's a good sign.

Sounds like a perfect SS. This way the Manning SS discussion can end as it should,& he could go back to being one of the best nickle backs/special teamers in the league.
