Source: Saints work out safeties Joe Lefeged and Eric Frampton

The New Orleans Saints worked out former Indianapolis Colts safety Joe Lefeged and former Dallas Cowboys safety Eric Frampton, according to a league source.

Lefeged has recently worked out for the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings.

Lefeged has 66 career tackles and two interceptions in three NFL seasons.

The former Rutgers player was released by the Colts earlier this season.

He was arrested in late June in Washington, D.C.. after fleeing police during a traffic stop and charged with carrying a firearm without a license, having an unregistered firearm, having unregistered ammunition, presence of a firearm in a motor vehicle and possession of an open container of alcohol.

He was later released on his own recognizance without bail.

Frampton was released from the Dalllas Cowboys' injured reserve list.

He has worked out for the Baltimore Ravens.
