As the Seattle Seahawks placed star running back Marshawn Lynch on the reserve-did not report list, they auditioned three running backs.
The Seahawks worked out running backs Phillip Tanner, Orwin Smith and William Powell, according to a source.
None were immediately signed to a contract, though.
Smith has a previous stint with the Green Bay Packers. Tanner has played for the Dallas Cowboys, rushing for 149 career yards and two touchdowns. Powell was signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, but failed his physical.
