West Virginia offensive tackle has solid Pro Day Aaron Wilson
West Virginia offensive tackle Selvish Capers had a strong Pro Day workout, displaying good athleticism during his drill work for several NFL teams, according to a league source.
The 6-foot-5, 307-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 5.1 seconds, improved his vertical leap to 31 inches and turned in an 8-11 broad jump, four inches better than his showing at the NFL scouting combine.
It was his drill work that was superior, per our source, as his footwork was very smooth.
Capers had some rough moments at the Senior Bowl, but is regarded as a player with upside because of his coachability and ability to get to the second level. He's a converted tight end, so his background at tackle isn't nearly as experienced as some of his competitors.
He's being projected anywhere from the second round to the fourth round.
Among the NFL teams that attended the workout: the Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills.
