The Houston Texans have struck a five-year deal with rookie first-round cornerback Kareem Jackson, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
Jackson recorded 159 career tackles and five interceptions as a three-year starter, deflecting 29 career passes before declaring early for the NFL draft.
Known as a fundamentally sound cornerback and a willing tadckler, the 5-foot-10, 196-pounder runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds.
He's projected to start immediately.
