The Houston Texans plan to release veteran cornerback Jacques Reeves, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
Reeves, 27, has started 35 games in six NFL seasons, appearing in 88 career games.
Two years ago, he intercepted a career-high four passes and scored the first touchdown of his career. He also knocked down a career-high 19 passes.
In five starts last season, he recorded 31 tackles and one interception.
For his career, he has posted 160 tackles, 141 solo tackles, six interceptions, 45 pass deflections two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
Last year, he dealt with a fractured fibula.
He has a previous stint with the Dallas Cowboys, where he began his career.
