Former Miami Dolphins safety Chris Clemons is signing a two-year, $2.7 million contract with the Houston Texans, according to a league source.

He's due $450,000 in guaranteed money.

The 6-foot-1, 214-pounder had 93 tackles and one interception last season for the Dolphins.

He previously visited the Detroit Lions, who wound up signing former Baltimore Ravens safety James Ihedigbo to a two-year, $3.15 million contract.

A former Clemson standout, Clemons has 278 career tackles, 17 pass deflections, four interceptions and two forced fumbles.
