Former Kansas City Chiefs tight end Tony Moeaki visited the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a league source.
He wasn't immediately signed to a contract as the Buccaneers signed tight end Kyle Adams this week.
The Chiefs waived him from injured reserve with an injury settlement.
Moeaki fractured his scapula during the preseason against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The injury was regarded as a clean fracture and there was no displacement of the shoulder.
Moeaki had entered training camp healthy and the former Iowa standout could be a good target for teams when he's ready to return from his injury.
Moeaki caught 47 passes for 556 yards and three touchdowns as a rookie.
Last season, Moeaki caught 33 passes for 453 yards and a touchdown.
