KC's 2011 draft pick moves past Quinn in pecking order at practice. Terry McCormick
Ricky Stanzi, who sat and learned as a rookie for the Kansas City Chiefs, has apparently learned enough that to move past Brady Quinn into the Chiefs' No. 2 quarterback role behind Matt Cassel.
According to the Chiefs website, Stanzi worked with the second unit in Kansas City's most recent practice and drew praise from quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn for his scrambling on one play.
With Quinn knowing new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll's system, it was assumed that he might have the inside track to perhaps challenge Cassel. But for now, it appears Quinn must worry about Stanzi first.
