LSU added another four-star prospect to its solid Class of 2013 when Anthony Jennings committed to play for Les Miles and Co.
The Marietta High School (Marietta, GA) dual-threat quarterback is the 17th overall pledge for the Tigers this recruiting cycle.
The 6-2, 205-pounder, who is the team's third commitment this week and eighth since the beginning of May, is one of the best dual threats in the nation. He played his 2011 season with a torn ligament in his knee, but he still managed to throw for 2,187 yards with 19 touchdowns and four interceptions. He added another eight scores and 500 yards on the ground.
Miles continues to stockpile diverse players at the QB position, with pocket passers and dual-threats being added to future depth charts. The team has dropback passers in Zach Mettenberger and Stephen Rivers on the roster now, while Jerrard Randall is best at utilizing his legs. In addition to the dual-threat Jennings, the team has four-star dropback quarterback Hayden Rettig of California in the mix in this cycle. And, of course, 6-3, 270-pound Jeremy Liggins will be a freshman this fall.
It's possible that six scholarship quarterbacks could be on the roster next fall if there are no departures.
