Steelers' Adams recovering after stabbing

Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Mike Adams is recovering following a stabbing early Saturday morning on the south side of Pittsburgh, the club said in a statement.

Adams was the victim of an apparent robbery, according to the statement by Steelers media relations department.

“We are aware of the situation regarding Mike Adams being stabbed earlier this morning,” Steelers General Manager Kevin Colbert said. “We are in direct communication with both Mike and his family. Mike is expected to make a full recovery."

Adams was a second-round pick of the Steelers in 2012.
