The season hasn't started on the right foot for the Pittsburgh Steelers, as its anemic run game was dealt a big blow on Wednesday.

According to Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Steelers are now hoping to have rookie running back Le'Veon Bell make his debut in approximately one month's time despite optimism of a Week 2 return. The second-round draft choice from Michigan State has a "rare" mid-foot sprain that is being classified as a dreaded Lisfranc injury - a similar issue to the one that plagued Jacksonville running back Maurice Jones-Drew last season.

Bell suffered the injury on Aug. 19 in a preseason game against Washington.

The burly downhill rusher accumulated 671 carries throughout his career at East Lansing, including 382 last season as a junior.
