Steelers, Harrison part ways

James Harrison and the Pittsburgh Steelers could not agree on an acceptable pay for the veteran linebacker, so now Harrison will find an acceptable contract elsewhere.

After 10 years in Pittsburgh, Harrison, the 2008 Defensive Player of the Year, was released by the Steelers on Saturday, giving him a 48-hour jump on free agency.

In a market filled with 30-something pass rushers like Dwight Freeney, Osi Umenyiora and John Abraham, it will be interesting to see where Harrison, who is almost exclusively a 3-4 guy, fits in.
