Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman will have an MRI on his injured groin, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Redman told reporters on Wednesday that his groin had been sore for awhile, although he played last week in the Steelers' preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Redman is slated to carry a bigger load for the Steelers this year with Rashard Mendenhall's status up in the air as he makes his way back from a knee injury.
