The Pittsburgh Steelers have fired special teams coach Al Everest, according to Jay Glazer of FoxSports.
Everest termed his termination "a shocker," but didn't say much more than that in an interview with the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
“It was professional differences, and let’s leave it at that,” Everest said Friday. “It was professional differences.” But he also added, “It was a shocker.”
Everest was let go by the San Francisco 49ers in 2010.
