Steelers lure away Redskins special teams coach

Report says Danny Smith heads home to Pittsburgh. Terry McCormick

The Pittsburgh Steelers have hired Danny Smith to be their new special teams coach, according to Dan Hellie of NBC Channel 4 in Washington.

Hellie's tweets said the Steelers have been after Smith for a while and that the Pittsburgh area is home to the coach.
