Steelers executive says team isn't going to draft a quarterback early Aaron Wilson
The Pittsburgh Steelers aren't going to let the sexual assault investigation surrounding star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to dictate their draft strategy.
That means the Steelers have no plans to draft a quarterback early in the draft, according to director of football operations Kevin Colbert.
"That position appears to be set," said Colbert, per the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Of course, the Steelers' philosophy could obviously be altered if Roethlisberger is charged with a crime.
Roethlisberger has been accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old college student in Milledgeville, Ga.
He hasn't been charged with a crime and his high-profile attorney, Ed Garland, has denied that Roethlisberger has committed a crime.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has expressed concern about the situation, telling NFL Network, "I'm highly concerned for our franchise and for Ben personally."
Until the situation is resolved, it will continue to hang over the Steelers' heads.

I think the Steelers do need to look at QB's in the draft, even if only as a precaution. There's probably a 90% chance that Ben is going to end up with some kind of suspension. I also believe that 90% of P-burgh fans are sick and tired of watching Ben self destruct. I know several people who say that Ben is all about Ben, cocky, and just not a nice person; one of them just happens to be a teammate. I think we can find someone better to represent the Steeler Organization...Tebow comes to mind. Say what you will, he knows how to win!
