As expected, the Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed linebacker Larry Foote.
And they're paying him handsomely consdering he's slated for a backup role.
According to NFL.com, Foote agreed to terms on a three-year, $9.3 million contract that includes a $1.8 million signing bonus.
Foote could be the eventual successor to James Farrior at middle linebacker and he could also provide depth at other positions in case of injury.
Foote visited the Arizona Cardinals and the Washington Redskins, but the Steelers, especially with this kind of money and his background in Pittsburgh as a previous starter for Dick LeBeau, made this a natural move.
