The Pittsburgh Steelers locked up veteran safety Troy Polamalu with a three-year contract.

The deal is expected to lower his $10.8 million salary-cap figure for 2014.

The Steelers also did a cap-friendly extension for tight end Heath Miller.

They also have a $9.754 million salary-cap figure for transition player Jason Worilds.
