Steelers to work out Plaxico Burress

The Pittsburgh Steelers are planning on working out wide receiver Plaxico Burress on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Burress has been looking for a team since leaving the New York Jets at the end of the season, and with the Steelers having Jerricho Cotchery and Antonio Brown slowed by injuries, the report indicates that the 35-year-old receiver could be signing with the club he originally was drafted by.

Since the Steelers may be reaching back about a decade into their past for a receiver, maybe they can dial up Kordell Stewart or Tommy Maddox since they need a quarterback with Ben Roethlisberger and Byron Leftwich both out with injuries.
