The Carolina Panthers.are giving former New York Jets wide receiver Stephen Hill a chance.
He was signed to the practice squad following a workout for the NFC South franchise.
Hill was cut by the Jets after struggling for two years and going unclaimed off waivers. Hill is a speedy 6-foot-4, 215-pound forme second-round draft pick from Georgia Tech.
Hill has run the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds.
Hill wasn't productive for the Jets, catching 45 passes for 594 yards and four touchdowns. His agent blamed the Jets' personnel and schemes for that.
