Although Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross didn't fire anyone Thursday, according to the Miami Herald, changes remain a strong possibility for the AFC East franchise.

Per th4e report, Ross helicoptered in for a "fact-finding mission."

Ross is facing resistance from coach Joe Philbin, who's believed to be safe, in possibly firing offensive coordinator Mike Sherman.

Philbin has final say on coaching decisions, so he would have to be fired for Ross to fire Sherman.

General manager Jeff Ireland is also in danger of being fired, as is offensive line coach Jim Turner.

So, nothing has been resolved in Miami.
