Tom Brady and the Patriots move into the top spot after the Saints and Packers are eliminated. Joe Fortenbaugh
The New England Patriots spent the majority of the season hanging around the top of the board as one of the favorites to win this year’s Super Bowl. But now that the Packers and Saints have officially been eliminated from the postseason, Tom Brady and company have assumed the top spot.
After blasting the Denver Broncos 45-10 on Saturday night, the Patriots are now listed at -110 to win February’s Super Bowl, according to Dave Mason and our friends at BetOnline.com.
New England Patriots: -110
New York Giants: +300
San Francisco 49ers: +300
Baltimore Ravens: +450
In addition, the team at BetOnline is in the process of releasing early Super Bowl lines for each of the four possible matchups:
New York Giants (-1) vs. Baltimore Ravens
San Francisco 49ers (pick) vs. Baltimore Ravens
New England Patriots (-3.5) vs. New York Giants
New England Patriots (-3.5) vs. San Francisco 49ers
With the 49ers as a 2.5-point favorite over the Giants for Sunday’s NFC Championship, it’s interesting to see San Francisco listed as a pick for a potential Super Bowl showdown with the Ravens, while the Giants would be a 1-point favorite over that same Baltimore team.
