Receiver sent message out during New York's loss to Texans Monday night. Terry McCormick
Terrell Owens has taken to Twitter to try and work his way in with the New York Jets.
Owens, 38, who has been out of football for two years now, tweeted out Monday night that he would like to join the injury-ravaged and struggling Jets, who lost to the Texans, 23-17. New York has already lost star receiver Santonio Holmes for the season.
"Hey JETS!!! I’m available! I’m ready, willing & able! Call my agent @jordanwoy & let’s make it happen,” Owens wrote on Twitter, per the New York Post.
Owens is desperate to return to the NFL. It remains to be seen if the Jets are desperate enough to sign him.
