Rookie quarterback gets call for Dolphins vs. Panthers. Terry McCormick
After the Miami Dolphins had only hinted that Ryan Tannehill would get plenty of work with the first team, veteran sportscaster Dick Stockton spilled the beans, according to various reports, saying on a Miami radio station that the rookie will start for Miami against the Carolina Panthers.
Stockton broadcasts the Dolphins preseason games and made the announcement about Tannehill on 790 AM The Ticket, says the Palm Beach Post.
With David Garrard out and Matt Moore having started the previous game, it only makes sense that it is Tannehill's turn under center in a preseason game in order to sort out the competition.
