Tim Tebow's time with the New York Jets could be limited, if as the specuation suggests, he will be released long before the season starts.
But Tebow is making the most of what time he does have with Jets, says the Newark Star-Ledger, which reported that he arrived between 6 and 6:30 a.m. EDT today to begin the team's off-season workout program.
Tebow beat Jets coach Rex Ryan in reporting by about an hour and was also well ahead of Mark Sanchez, who arrived around 7:45 a.m.
Whether or not that will help Tebow in any way with the Jets remains to be seen, but the quarterback appears to be doing what he can to cling to a roster spot - if not with the Jets then somewhere else in the league.
